Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Cleonhill Proprietary Limited, a private company registered in Botswana and based in Gaborone, which operates Cleonhill. By using the service you accept them, so please read them.
1. Acceptance
By creating a project or otherwise using Cleonhill you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If we change the terms, continued use means you accept the change.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for keeping your account and any connected keys secure.
3. The service
Cleonhill lets you describe a chatbot or call agent and have an AI build a prototype, test it in a channel simulator, and export the code. The service is provided as is. It is under active development, so we do not guarantee uptime, that every build will succeed, or that a generated agent will fit a particular purpose.
4. Your account and projects
Building requires an account, and your projects belong to it — so they are there from any device you sign in on, and clearing your browser data does not affect them. Anyone you share a link with can use what you built without an account of their own; that usage is yours, and it spends your credits.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cleonhill to build or run bots that:
- break the law, or the WhatsApp and Meta platform rules;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
- harass, deceive, or impersonate people or organisations;
- infringe someone else's rights.
You also agree not to abuse or overload the platform, work around credit limits, or try to access our secrets or other users' data.
6. Credits
Using Cleonhill spends credits. Building is counted for each message sent to and from the builder, and other use of the service, including testing some kinds of agent, can also consume them. New accounts start with a free allowance. When your credits run out, builds pause until you have more. We may change allowances, prices, and what a given action costs. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
What each plan costs and includes is set out on our pricing page, and when we refund money paid for credits or a subscription is set out in our refund policy.
7. Your content and your bots
You own the prompts you write and the bot code generated for you. You are responsible for what your bot does, for connecting it to WhatsApp under Meta's rules, and for the third-party services and keys you connect to it. Once you export a bot it runs on your own hosting, and we are not responsible for it after that point.
8. Our intellectual property
The Cleonhill platform, the phone simulator, and this website are ours. The runtime and SDK we include when you export a bot are licensed to you to run that bot, and may not be resold or repackaged as a competing product.
9. Third-party services
Cleonhill relies on and connects to services run by others, including our AI provider (OpenRouter), WhatsApp and Meta, and any service you connect to your bot. Each has its own terms, and you are responsible for complying with them.
Cleonhill is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" and "Meta" are trademarks of their respective owners; our simulator reproduces the WhatsApp experience for testing only and does not connect to WhatsApp's real network.
10. Disclaimers
The service and any generated code are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. AI-generated code can contain mistakes, so review and test your bot before you rely on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior three months or BWP 1,000.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims and costs that arise from your use of the service, the bots you build, or your breach of these terms.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or abuse the platform. You can stop using the service at any time.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will post the new version here and update the date above.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana. We will first try to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation, and if that fails, through arbitration held in Gaborone, Botswana.
